Country Strong

I saw a new movie this weekend, and I felt the need to share these lyrics. The movie was really good, but the message of this song was better. Given the really bad week I had, these meant something to me, and I'm glad I found them. If Garrett Hedlund ever reads this, I love him. His voice completes this song. Just for knowledge, this song comes from the movie, "Country Strong". Keep in mind that I don't typically like country music, but I do love the music from this movie. It's really good.

Tyler Hawkins, played by Rob Pattinson said this, and it really struck a chord with me...

"Ghandi said that whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it. I tend to agree with the first part."

I get that the plot of this movie kind of sucked, but these quotes are two of the reasons I love it so much.

Disenchanted

There comes a point when life is too hard, and you wonder how to cope. You're not sure how to go on, and then life gets even harder. All you want is a break...one single day when nothing bad happens. You want one pefect day to get your priorities straight, to give you a moment of peace. You crave that perfect day, and when it never comes, you find yourself becoming disenchanted. What are you supposed to do next? Where are you supposed to go? How is anything going to change for the better? It seems so impossible, and then a single moment changes absolutely everything. It's as if the stars realign, the world changes its pattern of revolution, and life goes on, so much more amazing than before. Everything is good, for one moment. Hopefully that one moment lasts forever.....but you know it won't, because you're realistic, and you, once again, find yourself completely and utterly disenchanted.

On my other blog I did a post about the title. Here's the quote that this one came from. Once again, from the incredibly creative mind of Sarah Dessen:
